Frequently Asked Questions

Should I live on- or off- campus?

Living on campus is a great way to connect with other STEP students. You will also be close to academic buildings and campus resources to help you get connected more quickly. Students who live on campus will be housed in a newly renovated, air-conditioned building in South Halls, which is centrally located and close to downtown State College. If you are interested in living on-campus, visit the Housing and Food Services Web site for more information on how to secure a summer housing contract. You can also contact them at assginmentoffice@psu.edu or 814-865-7501.

STEP students may also elect to live off-campus. The Office of Off-Campus Living maintains a website with online classified ads to help you identify off-campus options.

*The Pennsylvania State University makes no representation whatsoever regarding the housing or the landlords listed through this web site. The properties listed are done so at the request of the landlords to assist students in locating possible off-campus housing opportunities. Students are responsible to inspect the property and negotiate lease terms with any landlord.
